Make a Date… With Yourself

Hello Yinster, I hope you have had an awesome week so far.

So from last week’s tip, did you spend the first 5 minutes of every day focusing on you and only you? If so I’m curious, did it change your mindset for the day? What difference about yourself do you notice? 

Are you ready to hear this week’s self care tip? I’m super excited to share it with you. 

Date yourself! 

Yes I’m serious, I mean go all out. Think about what a perfect date looks like to you. Now Pick a date and time, mark it on your calendar. Buy yourself a nice outfit. Pull out all the stops.

How many times in your life have you gone through this experience where you’re putting your best self out there to try and find love from someone else?  

Guess what, it’s time to find love for yourself.

:Loving yourself will help you build self-confidence, self worth, and over all you will feel more positive. When you learn to love yourself, self care will come easier.

I can not wait to hear how your first date goes 😘.

The Critical First 5 Minutes of Your Day

How often do we hit the ground running in the morning?  We’re in “Go Mode”.   

We’re already focusing on the tasks ahead. 

Why is it that we often allow our to-do list to come before our own well-being? Let’s change that! 

This weekend, I challenge you to wake up and spend the first 5 minutes to ask yourself…

  • How am I feeling?
  • What do I need today? 
  • What do I want from today?

Sound too simple to be true?  Well sometimes simple is not easy!  Place a sticky note by your bed every morning so you know remember this!  It takes repetitive practice. 

Remember small steps Rome wasn’t built in a day 😉.

Day 4 – Understanding

Welcome to Day 4 – Understanding Yourself Better

So why on earth would we want to understand ourselves better?

When we seek to better understand out thoughts, emotions and actions, we realize how much is conditioned by our surroundings. It’s not actually who we are.  It’s conditioning.

Once we understand that we have to opportunity to let them go.  And that’s liberating!  That’s change!

Self mastery is what we seek so we can continually evolve to be the best we can be for ourselves and others.

I’ve found a unique way to understand ourselves better is to take a RISK!  Taking a risk means that the outcome is unknown. For many of us, that fear of the ‘what can happen’ stops us from moving forward.

In order to better understand ourselves and self reflect, let’s take some risk and see what happens.

It can be a big or small risk.  It’s what you are comfortably uncomfortable with.  If a risk doesn’t present to you today, at least you are thinking about it.  You are still aware of it.  That is understanding yourself better in order to create more focus!
